I can't believe how long it has been since I have posted regularly. I have been trying to get these flowers on here for like....forever! Here is the prop swap I made for Seminar. I used our Miss Moxie Soar With it Collection and matching ribbon. The picture didn't turn out very well, as it was hard to get a good angle.
You will be able to tell that one of my new play sets is the Found Joy from the May/June Jubilation. Here is yet another card featuring that set.
I have to say the picture does NOT do this card any justice. The card sketch is nearly the same as a card posted just a few days ago. Gives you an idea how easily you can adapt a sketch and use it again. It features the Cha Cha SWIC. In addition, the main image features one of my favorite background techniques "Watercolor Crayon Effects". I cut glossy paper to 3 7/8 x 2 3/4". Using the watercolor crayons, I scribbled mostly yellow, with orange highlights all over the paper. Then I used a Niji water brush and just pounced all over the color lines to basically erase the lines and blend the colors. It ends up with this great looking background. Give it a little time to dry thoroughly before stamping the flowers. I added crystal stickles to the center of the flowers. I'm not sure if you can see that in the pic. The glossy is layered on a piece of black 4 x 2 7/8" and then partly layered on a matching green cardstock cut to 3 7/8 x 2 3/4". The inside of the card has a piece of ivory cut to 4 x 5 1/4". I used a portion of the grass stamp to give me two stems on which I put a small orange flower, and a large red flower in the lower right corner.

Some added thoughts-I have to say that the glossy cardstock carried by The Angel Company is one of the best around. It far outweighs the glossy I have purchased from a very popular scrapbook store in the area. Some techniques, particularly versamark popping, just do not work on low quality glossy. My customers know that our glossy is one of the best. Also, if you are thinking of purchasing the Aquacolor crayons, there are lots of techniques you can use these gems for. If you are going to make the purchase, go for the big set. I purchased the 24ct to start with and quickly turned around and sprung for the larger set. I just had to have the additional colors. You won't regret it. Just a personal recommendation (from experience!)
The May/June Jubilation includes four (4) Limited Edition GWP's (Gift With Purchase) stamps. These stamps are FREE with a $30 purchase. For some reason, I really like making 4x4 cards. I mail them in a regular size A2 envelope, but put a piece of scrap cardstock in with it to fill out the envy. This card features the "Friend" GWP.

As a side note, the mono buttons are absolutely one of my favorite embellishments. They come in 7 different color packs, Bumble Bee (yellows), Limeade, Lilac, Cupcake (pinks), Bubblegum (darker pinks), Tangerine and Black. There are 24 buttons in each pack, but that's not all! They are different shades, some are sparkle buttons, some are polka dot. My favorite pick for a finishing touch!
I did not have any current stamps that reflect my thoughts on Easter, so I had to put my creativity in gear and come up with something. I love bunnies and rabbits and even hunting for eggs (in the spring), but Easter is about Christ and what He accomplished for us by giving His life on the cross. It was there that He paid the price for our sins, conquered death and by His resurrection brings new life to you and I who believe. So...with that in mind...here is what I came up with!
This card features the More Mimi Double Sided Soar With It Collection and matching card stock. My favorite paper from that pack is this tan pattern. It is more like a cream, but in my opinion, it is just beautiful! I love it and it's not even purple! That cream piece is 5 1/4 by 4. I stamped the largest swirl image from Swirlies (T-2991) which is featured on page 56 of our main catalog. The cross is from the brown patterned paper. The longest piece measures 4 7/8 x 3/4, the shortest 3 1/2 x 3/4. I positioned the swirl image so that it just comes through a little from behind the cross. The sheep is from Hoppity Skippity (R-2041). I positioned it so he would be kind of gazing up at the cross in awe. I think he works just fine! I put him on a pop dot. I finished the card using flowers and buttons from the Audrey Embellishment Jar and our Garden Mix of flowers.
One more idea for Easter:
For this card I used a base from the Bright Cardstock Stack. This is white core paper and comes in stacks of 4 1/2 x 6 1/2, 6x6, 8x8 and 12 x 12. This light aqua is such a springy color. The layers are cut from the Labels 4 Nestabilities that are featured in our new Serendipity Street using the new Wizard Emboss & Die Cut System. The design on the bottom of the card is from Victorian Elements (T-3029). I colored in the sheep with my Prismacolor pencils and stippled around him with Water Lily Green Palette Ink (TT212). Both the sheep and the word image are from The Joy of Easter, new this Serendipity.
I used Happy Easter from Trendy Greetings (T2144) and added the butterfly to finish the inside!

Remember, you can look at any card for the sketch idea. Add your own image and sayings to fit the occasion, and there you go!
